Naomi is FIVE!!!

Naomi had a birthday last week on July 9th. I didn't have anything planned for that day because I already had a celebration party for her a week later. Her Great-Grand-Parents, Grandpa and some of her friends came over to visit her. We just had heart cup cakes and we sang the happy birthday song to her.
Naomi cumplió años la semana pasada el 9 de julio. No tenía nada planeado ese día porque ya había reservado una fecha la siguiente semana para celebrarle su cumpleaños. Ese día vinieron sus bis-abuelos, su abuelo y unas amigas. Solo le cantamos la canción de felíz cumpleaños y comimos pastelitos.
They got a little bit craze after eating so much sugar!

She opened her presents after Jeremy got home from work.
Ella abrió sus regalos después que Jeremy llegó del trabajo.

NAOMIS BIRTHDAY PARTY

Today we celebrated her birthday. She tought she was turning 6 because we were having another celebration for her :o) A friend of us reserved a club house to have her birthday party. She wanted a flower and butterfly theme this year, so I had to be creative and came up with a flower cake and some butterfly candies. All the kids watched me making the cake and André crashed on the couch around 11:30 pm; Naomi crashed on the floor around midnight; Ariana after midnight and Isabelle waited for me until 3:30 am.

Hoy celebramos su cumpleaños. Ella pensó que estaba cumpliendo 6 porque estabamos celebrándolo de nuevo :o) Un amigo de nosotros reservó un club para hacer la fiesta de cumpleños. Ella quiso que le hiciera un tema de flores y mariposas este año así que tuve que ser creativa y resulté haciendo un pastel de flor y unos dulces de mariposa. Todos los niños estuvieron conmigo viendo como hacía el pastel hasta que André se quedó dormido en el sillón como a las 11:30 pm, Naomi se quedó en el suelo a la media noche; Ariana después de media noche e Isabelle me esperó hasta que terminé a las 3:30 a.m.We had cake and ice cream, then she opened presents and after that we went swimming! It was a beautiful hot day and the pool was the perfect place to be. We had an inside and outside pool and all the kids enjoyed the water.
Comimos pastel y helado, después ella abrió sus regalos y luego fuimos a nadar! Hoy fue un día muy bonito y caliente así que la piscina era el lugar perfecto. Había una piscina bajo techo y otra al aire libre y todos los niños la pasaron muy bien jugando en el agua.

4th of July 2009

This last 4th of July we went to some friends house that live by a lake. We had dinner, played volleyball and then we went swimming in the lake. Andre loved doing the fireworks, the girls just sat and watch the whole time. Isabelle fell in the water though but she was fine, just a little bit wet. We had a great time this year.
El pasado 4 de julio fuimos a la casa de unos amigos que viven a la orilla de un lago. Cenamos, jugamos volleyball y despues fuimos a nadar en el lago. Andre le encanto quemar los fuegos artificiales y las niñas solo estuvieron viendo. Isabelle se cayo en el agua pero estaba bien, solo un poquito mojada. La pasamos muy bien este año.

Father's Day 2009

For Father's Day we went to Bill's (Jer's dad) house in Issaquah. We took a lot of the fish that Jer got this year and we cooked for everybody. The kids played in the hot tub until started to rain hail and they got scared and cold. We had a lot of fun with family and friends.

Para el Día del Padre fuimos a la casa de Bill (papá de Jeremy) en Issaquah. Llevamos mucho del pescado que Jer consiguió buceando este año y cocinamos para todos. Los niños jugaron en el jacuzzi hasta que empezo a llover granizo lo cual les asusto y al final les dio frio.

BB Gun

About a month ago Jeremy got a BB gun for André. He taught André the rules of using a gun and now they go shooting on our back yard. The girls were interested in guns too so Jeremy let them shoot a few times.
Hace más o menos un mes Jeremy compró un rifle para André. El le enseñó las reglas que debe seguir cuando se usa un arma y ahora van a disparar atrás de la casa. Las niñas también estuvieron interesadas así que Jeremy les dejó disparar un día.

Our vacation to Mike's Beach Resort

Jeremy's mom and brother came from New Mexico to visit for a few weeks. We planed a trip with them to the Hood Canal at Mike's Beach Resort. It's a nice place by the water where you can rent a cabin, trailer, family rooms or group rooms. We got a cabin for mom and Jesse and a trailer for us. The trailer has a outside jacuzzi and it was next to the playground, so it was perfect.
La mamá y el hermano de Jeremy vinieron de New Mexico a visitar por unas semanas. Nosotros planeamos un viaje con ellos a un resort lozalizado en Hood Canal. Es un lugar muy bonito donde se pueden rentar cabañas, trailers, cuartos para familias o grupos. Nosotros rentamos una cabana para mamá y Jesse y un trailer para nosotros. El trailer tiene un jacuzzi afuera y está a la par de los juegos para niños, así que era perfecto.

On our first day we went to the dock and the kids fished for anything they could get. Here is Isabelle going down to the dock.

En nuestro primer día todos fuimos al muelle y los niños se pusieron a pescar por cualquier cosa que pudiera agarrar. Aquí va Isabelle hacia el muelle.

Here are the kids fishing! Actually, André got some really cool jelly fish.

Aquí están los niños pescando! La verdad es que André agarro unos jelly fish.After spending time at the dock the kids went to the playground. Stephanie and I were probably making something to eat.

Después de pasar tiempo en el muelle los niños fueron a jugar. Stephanie y yo probablemente estabamos preparando algo para comer.

The kids played in the water for hours.

Los niños jugaron en el agua por horas.

After dinner we went to the cinema, which is next to the playground", to watch "Beverly Hills Chihuahua".

Después de cenar fuimos al cine, el cual está a la par de los juegos para ver "Beverly Hills Chihuahua".

The night it was beautiful. The moon and the star... it was so perfect! We made some fire to make smores.

La noche era hermosa. La luna y las estrellas... era tan perfecto! Hicimos un fuego para hacer smores.

I finally did it! A perfect marshmallow!!!
The kids were so exhausted that night that we didn't have any problems putting them in bed. My little Naomi slept like an angel. André and Isabelle share the same bed. Ariana decided to go with grandma because their cabin had a full bed and a bunk bed.

Los niños estaban tan agotados esa noche que no tuvimos ningun problema poniéndolos en la cama. Mi pequeña Naomi durmió como un angel. André e Isabelle compartieron la misma cama. Ariana decidió ir con su abuelita porque su cabaña tenía una cama matrimonial y una litera.

The second day we went claming. We had a hard time finding them but we got enough to have as an appetizer with our dinner that night. The kids found a lot of little tiny crabs that they were collecting in a bucket.

El segundo día fuimos a escabar mariscos. Nos costó mucho encontrar las conchitas pero agarramos lo suficiente para nuestro aperitivo de la cena. Los niños encontraron un montón de cangrejitos los cuales fueron pudiendo en una cubeta.

We also went diving. It was my first time this year and taking advantage of the hot water I decided to warm up my suit before getting in the cold water :o)

También fuimos a bucear. Fue mi primera vez este año y aprovechando del agua caliente decidí calentar mi traje antes de entrar en el agua fría :o)

Jesse, Jeremy and I dove together and I was in charge of taking pictures. So here are my first shot, two creatures that I saw... ohh, wait a minute, it's just Jer and Jess.

Jesse, Jeremy y yo buceamos juntos y yo estaba en cargo de las fotografías. Así que aquí está mi primer foto, dos creaturas que ví... hmmm, esperen un momento, es solo Jer and Jess.

On the third day we went to the camp site where there is a river and a little trail for hiking.

El tercer día fuimos al sitio de acampamiento para hacer una caminata.

Before we left Isabelle went on the monkey bars.
