Snow Day

This weekend we were treated to an unusual amount of snow for our area so the girls got outside and made the most of it. Jeremy built them a sledding run in the driveway and they practiced the art of making snow angels. Everyone had a wonderful time. Here are a few short videos of their snow-day.

Kids are fun!

A couple weeks ago I went to take a CPR and First Aid class. It took me all morning so, Jeremy stayed home with the kids. He cooked breakfast for them, they watched some shows and they took a few pictures.

Everybody is smiling…
Todos sonriendo...

Everybody is sleeping…
Todos durmiendo...

Everybody is sticking out their tongues…
Todos sacando la lengua...

I think Naomi did a good job taking this one.

and, of course, fish are part of our family too.

Last Saturday we went to the Santa’s Breakfast at school. We had pancakes, ham and apple sauce. Andre lost his third tooth while eating breakfast… bloody ha! But other than that, the kids had a lot of fun visiting with their friends, playing around and taking pictures with Santa.

After we got back from that activity Andre made a snow man with the snow we got the night before.

A couple weeks ago, Jeremy went hiking with a couple of his friends that scuba dive with him. The rains made the water murky so they headed to the mountains for some scenery and exercise and to have their "guy time". Here's Jeremy on a ledge in front of a mountain range only 30 minutes from our home.

Some wild birds were following them on their hike. Jeremy put out his hand and one flew up to him and landed on it. He fed it a granola bar.
It is so beautiful where we live. We have mountains, forests, ocean and lakes within minutes from our home. Winters can be cold sometimes, but never terrible. Summers are great and never too hot. And Jeremy never gets bored playing outside.

Thanksgiving Day

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner last Thursday. Jeremy and Andre played a few games of Pokémon and the girls played around Grandma's house. I decided to take a look at the sales for the next day, “Black Friday”. I always thought that people must be crazy to get up at 4:00 in the morning to go shopping… Well, after finding a few things at a very good price I talked myself into going shopping the next morning. I was at Sears at 5:00am and then I went to about 5 more stores. I got home at 3:00pm, I was very tired, hungry, but happy with the stuff I found.

Jeremy stayed home with the mob and he did a good job taking care of children. When I came home all of them had an “L” and “R” on each hand and foot. It seems that they were playing Twister and they were getting confused with left and right, so Jeremy fixed the problem.

Last night I was thinking about all the things I’m thankful for. There are so many and I just wanted to mention a few of them. First of all, I’m thankful to my Heavenly Father for all the blessings and challenges that I have in my life. I’m thankful for…my wonderful mother and my two beautiful sisters that I miss all the time, for my lovely husband and children that help me to be a better wife and mother, for all of Jer’s family who have treated me with love since I came to this country, for all the people I’ve met through the years and to all of you that take the time to read our blog.

I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving Day!
