SCUBA Diving in Hood Canal

Jeremy and one of his friends, Rob, recently took a SCUBA diving trip to Hood Canal. They had a great time exploring new dive sites and taking pictures. Here is a sample of the marine life they saw under water.

Preschool and Kindergarten

NAOMI'S PRESCHOOL GRADUATION!
Our little Omi is done with preschool. She had her graduation on June 3rd, 2009. The kids sang and did a little presentation for the parents. Naomi enjoyed her time at preschool and she had a wonderful teacher. I'm so glad that Jer and I decided to prepare Naomi for Kindergarten through preschool.

Nuestra pequeña Naomi terminó su preescolar. Se graduó el 3 de junio del 2009. Los niños cantaron e hicieron una pequeña presentación para los padres. Naomi disfrutó el tiempo que estuvo asistiendo a sus clases y ella tuvo una maestra muy buena. Me siento muy satisfecha de que Jer y yo decidimos preparar a Naomi para Kindergarten a través de estas clases.

ARIANA'S CONCERT

The kindergarten children from Lakeland Elementary gave a concert for parents, family and friends. Ariana was very excited about it because she was going to be on stage singing! It was a 1 hour program and all the kids did a very good job.

Los niños de kinder de la escuela primaria Lakeland ofrecieron un concierto para padres, familiares y amigos. Ariana estaba muy emocionada porque ella iba a estar en el escenario cantando! Fue un programa de 1 hora y todos los niños hicieron un buen trabajo.

Naomi and Isabelle's hair cut

Isabelle's hair is very fine and it hasn't grown much in two years. I thought I needed to change her look so I asked a friend to give her a hair cut. Isabelle did okay being still for a two year-old. After that, Naomi asked me for a hair cut too and she wanted her hair as short as Isabelle's but I had to say no. I just cut it short enough to be able to make ponny tails. Here are some pictures of these two little cute girls.
El pelo de Isabelle is muy fino y no ha crecido mucho en dos años. Yo pensé que necesitaba cambiar su estilo por lo que pedí a una amiga que le diera un corte de pelo. Isabelle se portó bien no moviéndose mucho para ser una niña de dos años. Después de esto, Naomi me pidió que le cortara su pelo tan corto como el de Isabelle pero le dije que no. Solo lo corté lo suficiente corto que aún puedo hacerle cola. Aquí estan algunas fotos de estas dos niñas tan lindas.

Sleep Over

Last Thursday my friend came over with her children and had a "sleep over" at my house. I was very excited because it was the first sleep over with a friend since I was a little girl. She came after all the kids were back from school. We prepared deep fryed fish & shrimp, corn, cheese biscuits, fruit and for dessert brownies!

After dinner Jeremy made a fire for the kids and we made smores. A few of my friends know that I'm not very skilled making those and I think Isabelle got that from me :o) This is her fist marshmallow {I'm glad she didn't tryed to eat it}.

El jueves pasado mi amiga vino con sus niños y se quedó la noche en mi casa. Yo estaba muy contenta porque era la primera vez desde que era niña. Ella vino después que todos los niños salieron de la escuela. Cocinamos pezcado y camarón fritos, elote, panecillos de queso, fruta y de postre pastel de chocolate.

Después de cenar Jeremy hizo un fuego para los niños e hizimos smores (marshmallos con chocolate y galletas). Algunos de mis amigos saben que yo no tengo ningun talento haciéndoles y creo que Isabelle lo trae de mi parte). Este es su primer marshmallo {que bueno que no intentó comerlo}.

I don't know why André decided to give Isabelle a marshmallow without anything to hold it. I didn't notice until Jer told me. It was messy.

No sé por qué André decidió darle a Isabelle un marshmallo sin nada para sostenerlo. Yo no me dí cuenta hasta que Jer dijo algo. Su manita estaba bien pegajosa.The girls played in the sand box, the weather was so beautiful that evening that we stayed up late.
Las niñas jugaron con la caja de arena, el clima estaba tan bonito esa noche que nos quedamos despiertos hasta tarde.
We also had a talent show from Isabelle, Ariana and Eva.
También tuvimos una presentación de talentos de parte de Isabelle, Ariana y Eva.


Jeremy and I set up the tents on the deck a few weeks ago and the kids have been sleeping out there for many days. That evening we sent all the kids to sleep out there and they loved it. Kristie and I watched a movie and enjoyed the rest of the night by our selves.

Jeremy y yo pusimos la tindas de campaña de los niños afuera de la casa hace un par de semanas y ellos han estado durmiendo afuera por muchos días. Esa noche los mandamos a dormir afuera y les encantó. Kristie y yo vimos una película y solo disfrutamos el resto de la noche solas.

Track

This year Ariana and André had the opportunity to participate in track. They were so excited and begged me to sign them up. They practiced once a week after school for about month and a half and they had two meets.

Este año los Ariana y André tuvieron la oportunidad de participar en carreras por parte de la escuela. Ellos se emocionaron tanto que me rogaron que los registrara para las practicas. Tuvieron que practicar una vez por semana después de la escuela por más o menos mes y medio y tuvieron dos competencias.
