Boat Trip

A couples weeks ago Jeremy and one of his scuba buddies planned a boat trip for the family. The weather turned out to be bad that weekend so his friend canceled. But Rob came to "save the day" and offered to take the kids out on his boat. That Saturday was raining but not cold and we had a blast! The kids loved it. Isabelle wasn't scared at all and she kept her life vest the whole time.

Hace un par de semanas Jeremy y uno de sus compañeros de buceo planearon un viaje en bote para nuestra familia. El tiempo no iba a estar muy bueno así que su amigo canceló. Pero Rob vino a "salvar el día". El ofreció llevar a los niños en su bote. Ese sábado estuvo lloviendo pero no habo frío y nos divertimos mucho! A los niños les encantó. Isabelle no se asustó paranada y ella mantuvo su chaleco salvavidas todo el tiempo.

Rob allowed the kids to take turns driving the boat. They thought it was pretty cool the drive a boat. André was the first doing it so Rob had to tell him where to go.

Rob permitió que los niños se turnaran manejando el bote. Ellos pensaron que era muy bonito manejar un bote. André fue el primero en hacerlo así que Rob le dirigió por donte ir.

Ariana lost her first tooth

A few weeks ago Ariana was eating a snack when she told me that her tooth hurt. I noticed that it was getting loose so I just asked her to be careful while eating. One of her best friends at school got the same loose tooth and he lost it on his own birthday. Ariana was so excited to lose a tooth that she started to wiggle it so she would lose it sooner. On Mother's Day she showed me how loose it was and I just pulled it off. She thought it was special to loose her "first tooth" on Mother's Day.Here are a couple pictures of my toothless child.
Hace unas semanas Ariana estaba comiendo cuando me dijo que le dolía un diente. Yo noté que se le había aflojado y solo le dije que tenía que ser cuidadosa al comer. Uno de sus mejores amigos de la escuela tenía el mismo diente flojo y él lo perdió el día de su cumpleaños. Ariana estaba tan emocionada de perder un diente que empezó a menearlo para perderlo más rápido. El día de la madre ella me mostró lo tan flojo que estaba que solo se lo jalé. Ella pensó que había sido especial perder su "primer diente" en el Día de la Madre. Aquí están un par de fotos de mi niña sin diente.

Andre's Baptism

Our son, André Miguel Chevalier was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on May 9th, 2009. It was a very special day for André. He was very excited and happy to be baptized. We were very pleased to see a lot of our friends and family to support André on this special event. Jeremy and I are very happy to know that our son made the decision to be baptized at this age.

Nuestro hijo, André Miguel Chevalier fue bautizado en la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Ultimos Días el 9 de mayo del 2009. Fue un día muy especial para André. El estaba muy emocionado y contento de ser bautizado. Nosotros estuvimos muy complacidos de ver a nuestros amigos y familia apoyar a André en este evento tal especial. Jeremy y yo estamos muy contentos de saber que nuestro hijo tomó la decisión de ser bautizado a esta edad.

Day at the Park

Last Tuesday we had a beautiful weather so I decided to take the kids to the Five Mile Lake Park to have lunch before Ariana had to go to school. We went to pick up one of her friends from school and then, we ate, played and took some cute pictures of them.

El martes pasado tuvimos un día muy lindo por lo que decidí llevar a los niños al parque que está cerca de nuestra casa, antes que Ariana se fuera a la escuela. Fuimos a traer a unos de sus amiguitos de la escuela, luego comimos, jugamos y tomamos algunas fotos.

JEREMY'S BIRTHDAY
Our lovely dad and husband had a birthday on April 2nd! The day of his birthday he had to be the keynote speaker at a conference for the Regional Fire Departments that was held in Mercer Island, talking about social media and it's use in government (like blogs, facebook and twitter). A couple of days later he and I went shopping and had dinner together at a restaurant to celebrate his birthday. We had a fun time together (sorry, no pictures due to a broken camera).

One of his presents was a new dive camera with a waterproof case. He took a long time researching about cameras and finally he decided to get another Sony Cybershot. It's a nice camera and has a special feature to take pictures underwater, a wide angle lense and shoots HD video. He went diving the same day the camera arrived!

Nuestro querido papá y esposo cumplió años el 2 de abril. El día de su cumpleaños el tuvo que ser el conferenciante en una reunión para el Departamento de Bomberos Regional que se sostuvo en Mercer Island, Washington. Un par de días después él y yo fuimos de compras y cenamos juntos en un restaurante para celebrar su cumpleaños. Nos divertimos ese día juntos (lo siento que no hay fotos, nuestra camara se había arruinado).

Uno de sus regalos fue una cámara para ir a bucer con el estuche a prueba de agua. Le tomó mucho tiempo investigando a cerca de cámaras y al final se decidió por una Sony Cybershot. Es una buena cámara y tiene un modo para tomar fotos debajo del agua. El fue a bucear el mismo día que le llegó la misma por correo!

ANDRE'S BIRTHDAY
Our dear Andre turned 8 year-old this year. He wanted to celebrate his birthday with his friends from school so I planed a party for him the day before his birthday. He invited 4 of his friends and everybody came after school. First, they played games and did crafts. After that we ate pizza and chips for dinner. When everybody was done eating Andre opened all the presents he got and he loved them all! The fun continued when Jer decided to get the fog machine and the black lights ready for the kids so they could play with their Nerf Guns (Andre has a few and his friends brought theirs too). The poor girls were so bored :o) so they starting asking for cake and ice cream. We let the kids play for a while and then called them to have some cake. This year I made another "Ocean themed cake". After that, they broke into two groups to play Pokemon and Bakugan. They stayed up until midnight just having fun playing and being boys.

Nuestro querido Andre cumplió 8 años este año. El quiso celebrarlo con sus amiguitos de la escuela, así que le arreglé una fiesta un día antes de su cumpleaños. El invitó 4 de sus amigos y todos vinieron después de salir de la escuela. Primero ellos jugaron unos juegos e hicieron una manualidad. Después de eso comimos pizza y chips de cena. Cuando todos terminaron de comer Andre abrió todos los regalos que recibió y le encantaron. La diversión continuó cuando Jer decidió poner la máquina de niebla y luces de neón para que los niños pudieran jugar con sus armas de dardos (Andre posee unas y un par de amigos trajeron las de ellos). Las pobres niñas estaban tan aburridas :o) así que empezaron a pedir por pastel y helado. Dejamos que los niños jugaran por un rato más y luego les llamamos para comer pastel. Este año hice otro pastel con tema de oceáno. Después se dividieron en dos grupos para jugar Pokemon y Bakugan. Ellos se quedaron despiertos hasta la medianoche jugando y divirtiendose como niños.

ISABELLE'S BIRTHDAY
Our little Isy turned 2 on April 20th so, I prepared a little birthday party for her the day before. I made a "Park-Cake with dogs on it" because her favorite animal is a dog (she calls them dog-dog). A couple of my friends with their kids came to celebrate with us. Isabelle was a little shy blowing the candles so one of her sisters had to helped her. What she enjoyed the most was ripping the wrapping paper off the presents, she loved it! The actual day of her birthday was a beautiful sunny day and we went to the park after school. The kids swam in the lake and played with the sand.

It was a busy and fun weekend for all of us!

Nuestra pequeña Isy cumplió 2 años el 20 de abril, así que le preparé una pequeña fiesta el día antes. Hice un "Pastel-parque con perros en el mismo" porque su animal favorito es el perro (ella les dice dog-dog). Un par de mis amigas con sus niños vinieron a celebrar con nosotros. Isabelle se portó tímida a la hora de soplar las candelas así que una de sus hermanas le ayudó. Una de las partes que ella disfrutó mucho fue cuando tuvo que romper el papel para abrir los regalos, le encantó! El mero día de su cumpleaños fue muy lindo y soleado asi que fuimos al parque después de la escuela. Los niños nadarom en el lago y jugaron en la arena.

Fue un fin de semana muy ocupado y divertido para todos nosotros!
