"Carving Pumpkins"

Last Saturday afternoon we took the kids to choose their pumpkin. Even though Ariana and Isabelle weren’t feeling too good, they both were excited to go home and carve pumpkins. I actually enjoyed it this time because the kids could help more and be part of the work. Isabelle is still little but she found something to play while we’re busy. Jer helped Ariana and André and I worked with Naomi. We had a great time and happy with the results.

El Sábado pasado por la tarde llevamos a los niños a escoger su calabaza. Ariana e Isabelle no se sentían muy bien. Las dos estaban enfermas pero contentas de regresar a casa para cortar sus calabazas. La verdad que lo disfruté mucho esta vez porque los niños puedieron ayudar más y ser parte del trabajo. Isabelle es aún muy chiquita pero ella encontró algo con que jugar mientras estabamos ocupados. Jer ayudó a Ariana y André y yo trabajé con Naomi. La pasamos muy bien y estuvimos contentos con los resultados.

Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze!

Last Saturday we went to the Mosby Brothers Farm located off of Hwy. 18 with some of our friends. As soon as we got there we went on a hayride tractor-pulled. It was fun and the kids loved it.

El Sábado pasado fuimos a Mosby Brothers Farm con unos amigos. Tan pronto como llegamos nos dieron una vuelta por la granja en unos vagones llenos de paga jalados por un tractor. Fue divertido y a los niños les encantó.

After that we enter the Corn Maze! In the beginning the boys separated from the girls and wanted to know if we could figure it out. Of course, after a few attempts we had to join them because it was not too easy. Jer and I had to hold Isabelle most of the time (she didn’t want to walk). It was a lot of fun finding the checkpoints throughout the maze and the kids took turns punching each number.

Después entramos en un laberinto de maíz! Al principio los hombres se separaron de las mujeres y querían saber si nosotras podiamos encontrar la salida. Por supuesto, después de intentarlo varias veces tuvimos que unirnos a ellos porque no era tan fácil. Jer y yo tuvimos que cargar a Isabelle todo el tiempo (ella no quiso caminar). Fue divertido encontrar los puntos marcados en la mapa y los niños les gusto perforar cada número.

Sí! encontramos la salida!We had a great afternoon with our family and the Nelsons. Everyone was tired and ready to go home.

La pasamos muy bien con nuestra familia y los Nelson. Cada quien estaba cansado y listo para ir de regreso a casa.

Play Day

Last Friday the kids didn't have to go to school and Jeremy didn't have to go to work so, we decided to take the kids bowling and have some fun.

El viernes pasado los ninos tuvieron feriado y Jeremy no tenia que trabajar, asi que decidimos llevarlos a jugar boliche para divertirnos.

Andre started the game! He actually did really good for being his first time.

Andre empezo el juego! La verdad lo hizo muy bien aunque fue su primera vez.

Jeremy was being "Father of the Year" teaching the kids how to play. He taught them everything he knows about the game. Ariana takes everything very serious, so she was listening and watching Dad all the time.

Jeremy jugo un papel muy importante ensenando a los chicos a jugar, asi que tuvo que ensenar todo lo que sabe del juego. Ariana toma todo en serio asi que escucho cada consejo de papa.

Naomi had the slowest speed record... 0.7 mph! but... she scored points every time. Ariana and Naomi had the highest score of all the kids.

Naomi rompio el record the velocidad a 0.7 mph. Aun asi entre ella y Ariana tuvieron los puntos mas altos de todos los ninos.

Isabelle didn't play but she danced and sang for us that night.
